Oh my god that is soooo CUTE! I love all animals and seeing them together like this is even better. The fact that some of them are natural enemies only makes it more heart warming. Yay for togetherness. Yay for unity and love!

Gorgeous pics–I was touched by the horse & deer photo especially, and the piglet/tiger photo is adorable. Just wanted to point out, however, that pics of separate species “cuddling” are not always what they appear. The snake, for instance, is apparently “in blue,” the period a few days before a shed, during which time the critter can’t see well, tends to be nervous and shy, and often will not eat. A snake that is not ready to eat will not attack its prey, and a gerbil that has been kept as a pet will often show little fear of its “natural” predators. Ten to one, that gerbil was history as soon as the snake was ready for a meal again. You can see that the snake is “in blue” by looking at his eyes–they are cloudy and grey, an indication that fluid is building up under the outer layer of skin, obscuring his eyes (and vision) and preparing the skin to be shed.

These are precious and give you a serene feeling about life..my daughter’s cat Dora hasn’t taken to Spike their hedgehog,altho he tries to get her to like him.maybe in time!
